Leanne Curtin

Leanne is a singer, vocal coach, backing vocalist and vocal arranger based in Cork City. She graduated from MTU Cork school of music in 2024 with a first class honours in the BA: Popular Music: Voice and is continuing with an MA in Vocal Performance. In her time there she completed 3 years of the BA: Musical Theatre degree. Here she studied contemporary and legit musical theatre vocal training and acting through song, attaining a well-rounded understanding of different types of vocal training available. In her final year, she switched to the popular music degree to obtain the training and skills available for her own professional development. Leanne is from North Cork and was surrounded by music from a very young age. From the age of 12 she began training and completed her grade 8 in Musical Theatre. At this age she sang and played for weddings and funerals with her family and this is where her passion blossomed.
Leanne has performed with various bands all over the country and has performed with original band ‘projective.’ at All Together Now, Electric Picnic, Cork Jazz Headline: The Everyman 23’ and 24’.
Her backing vocalist work includes: The Late Late New Year’s special 2025 and Northside Festival, Denmark 2025(Qbanaa), Cork Opera House (Proms; Kings, Queens and Princes). In her performing career she has worked with an array of artists such as Aby Coulibaly, Moio, Monjola, Qbanaa, Tolu MacKay.
Leanne has an immense passion for creating, collaborating and celebrating music with others and aims to deliver a broad understanding of the voice and how each person’s individuality can shine through their craft.
