What does Voiceworks Studio Offer?

Individual/Small Group Vocal Tuition

We offer a wide range of tuition options to suit your requirements, from 20 minute small group (2-4 students) to 45 minute individual singing lessons. Our resident coach accompanist is Dr. Nicole Panizza.

Pop A Cappella Choir

Voiceworks Studio pop choir performs a cappella pop, rock, jazz, classical, musical theatre and barbershop arrangements. We are available to perform contemporary works by local composers and arrangers. We even write our very own arrangements using the method of creative jams! We also rehearse and perform with a professional live band for selected concert performances.

In-House Theatre

Our beautiful premises boasts a small (80 - 100 seat) theatre. This provides an ideal rehearsal space and creates many exciting performance opportunities for our singers.

Sight Singing

There is much commercial studio and performance work for solo and ensemble singers who are trained to sing at sight. Learning how to sing at sight may sound difficult and boring, but Voiceworks Studio makes it fun, using exercises such as advertising jingles and great 2, 3 and 4 part harmony extracts from your favourite pop songs.

Musicianship

Musicianship class equips singers with the theoretical skills required to become an educated and professional singer. Popular musicianship studies include rhythm, harmony and aural studies, transcription, improvisation and pop music history. On occasion, we invite guest teachers to deliver lessons on specialist topics such as jazz history and improvisation, pop music arrangement, key setting and vocal harmony classes.

Graded Examinations

We offer a wide range of examinations, with syllabi and awarding bodies chosen to suit the individual students’ strengths and requirements. These include: Trinity Guild Hall, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Associated Board of Music and Rockschool Exams.

Instrument Tuition

We encourage budding professional singers to have knowledge of a second instrument. A chordal instrument is most beneficial to a singer, so we offer tuition on piano and guitar. Other instrument tuition can be arranged upon request, depending on availability.

Ensemble Group

Learn to lead a professional band as a solo singer and/or learn to perform as a backing vocalist.

Workshops, Showcases and Masterclasses

Voiceworks Studio hosts a variety of workshops, talks, showcase performances and masterclasses with home grown artists and industry professionals. These include recording and touring artists, songwriters, session singers, rapper/MCs, producers, record label executives, artist management companies and lots more!
